About Lisa

I began teaching high and low impact aerobic exercise at Ithaca Fitness while attending Ithaca College, Ithaca NY in the early 1980’s.  I was on the Dance team all 4 years and always had a love and passion for movement.  Those years inspired me to take many educational courses through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in personal fitness training and nutrition as a weight loss specialist.

However, I felt that more was needed to learn optimal movement patterns for the aging body. In the early 1990’s, I began to study Neuromuscular movement and focused on Hatha Yoga with Yoga Alliance and more recently the LYT Yoga Method, a physical therapy and neurodevelopmental style.  I continued my studies with Balanced Body Reformer Pilates, Power Plate and TRX and became certified in these teachings.  My philosophy draws from all to build individualized programs tailored to meet a client’s needs.  These techniques of working the body in various ways, leads to neuromuscular challenges, optimal posture, balance and health and improves athletic performance!

My home gym studio is complete with a Pilates Reformer, Chair, Treadmill, Elliptical, Peloton, Rower, TRX, Power Plate, free weights and cross over cables.
